The History of the Zipfy:
In 2007, Canadian entrepreneur Mark Cahsens introduced the Zipfy, a mini-luge that redefined sledding in North America and Europe. Possessed of fun and adventure in a compact, portable, and whimsical design, it caught on with kids as well as adults who use the Zipfy on their local sledding hills and at their favorite resorts.
Since the earliest days of the Zipfy, Confer Plastics, Inc. near Niagara Falls, New York, has been Mark’s molder of it, using their 50+ years of experience to craft a high-quality sled that flies down the slopes.
In 2025, their relationship developed further. Springboarding off of Confer’s successful launch of their Retro Racer sled in 2023, CPI’s sales team will now sell, in all of its online marketing channels, the Zipfy as a compliment to Confer’s growing sled line. The Retro Racer, Zipfy, and more sleds to come from the Confer factory will all be sold under one umbrella, further cementing CPI as a dominant force in the outdoors industry.
